The Journey to Thriving

There’s something sacred about beginnings. This is the first official Victorious Endeavors Insight, and I wanted to start by sharing the heart behind this platform and the journey that led me here.

For more than two decades, I’ve had the privilege of leading, coaching, and walking alongside individuals and organizations navigating change. My path has taken me from hotel lobbies through large convention ballrooms to corporate boardrooms, from

HR strategy sessions to diversity roundtables. Each experience taught me something different about what it means to thrive, not just survive.

When I decided to become an entrepreneur, it wasn’t about leaving corporate life behind. It was about expanding the impact I could make. It was about helping leaders see that presence, empathy, and accountability aren’t buzzwords. They’re tools for transformation.

Along this journey, I’ve also been striving to become an author, capturing lessons from the leaders, mentors, and teams who have shaped me. Writing continues to bring me clarity. It reminds me that thriving isn’t about perfection or pace. It’s about alignment, living and leading in a way that reflects who you are and what you value.

Victorious Endeavors has been a work in progress over many years. It first began as a social networking company putting on events and mixers for Black professionals in Palm Springs, California. My company hosted a golf tournament for hospitality industry Black professionals, open to everyone, to benefit the Coachella Valley African American Museum. Over three years, we raised several thousand dollars to support the local museum and youth development programs for Black boys ages 12 to 14 in a leadership development after-school program. From there, we expanded into credit restoration services for people in need, and of course, HR consulting has always been part of the journey that led us to where we are today.

Victorious Endeavors is more than a company name. It’s a declaration that victory isn’t the absence of struggle. It’s the ability to rise, to learn, and to keep moving with purpose.

My hope is that each monthly Insight gives you something practical to apply and something personal to reflect on, whether you’re leading a team, building a business, or working on becoming the best version of yourself.
